Privacy Policy

Vegas11 needs to gather some information from you in order to operate. Given how inevitable data collection is, Vegas11 developed its privacy policy to communicate how it stores, processes, and uses your information.

If you haven’t read the document yet, we can’t overstress how important it is that you do so. This is especially true because playing at Vegas11 also involves sharing some of your financial information, so you should be aware of what happens when you use the platform.

In this review, we’re going to cover the highlights as well as give you our honest opinion about its contents.

User Privacy

There is a page titled Privacy Policy that gives us a peek at what’s in the more comprehensive policy:

  • Your personal information won’t be shared unless required by a ruling of an international court;
  • Some of your data may be shared with financial institutions and partners for payment requests;
  • All the information you provide is encrypted using 128-bit SSL.

The page from which we sourced this information provides the most relevant information, and this is also what players want to know about. But this is just scratching the surface; there’s more to uncover.

Where Else Can You Find Details Related to Privacy?

More details can be found on the Terms & Conditions of Vegas11, under “7. Privacy Policy”. Because these documents are very comprehensive on most sites, we were hoping to get more information out of them. However, while it provided additional insights, this was not at the level that we expected.

The relevant section only comprised 11 points, some of which were already included in the original Privacy Policy page. Here is what you should know:

  • Vegas11 uses your data to let you access and use the platform as well as the games on it;
  • You can file a request for the data that Vegas11 holds on you;
  • Your data may be transferred from one country to another;
  • Vegas11 uses cookies, which you can turn off through your browser;
  • You agree to receive marketing promotions.

Apart from the details in the previous section, these conclude the relevant facts that we could find related to the privacy policy.

Is Vegas11 Doing Enough to Protect Its Users?

We are happy that it’s clear from the way the document is written that Vegas11 only uses your information for its own purposes unless absolutely necessary to share it with other parties. However, automatically making subscribers part of the marketing list is not a good practice. It’s not necessary for the overall experience of the platform, and users should be able to decide whether or not they receive promotional material outright.

Unfortunately, it’s hard to tell whether or not what Vegas11 is doing is enough. It would be unfair to answer this in absolute terms because the information is not complete. The use of encryption is pretty standard, but we were left asking what more Vegas11 has to offer in terms of security. For example, does the operator behind the platform allow you to delete all your data from its servers? Unless you get in touch with someone from support, you’ll never know the answer.

Conclusion

From the wording, it’s clear that there’s no intentional harm to the users. However, Vegas11 should do more to put their minds at ease by being more specific. It would also be a good idea to put everything in one document instead of two. The way it’s arranged right now, we wouldn’t be surprised if players missed out on details found in the T&C. These two suggestions would do a lot to improve the usefulness of the privacy policy for anyone who wants to check it out.
